Important guidance for pregnant women and lactating mothers
Pregnant women:
Nutrition is everything for pregnant women. In general, choose fresh, organic foods whenever possible. And eat a well-balanced diet consisting of adequate protein, healthy fats, fruits and vegetables. A very important food for pregnancy are raw eggs. Raw eggs are a rich source of protein. Eat a healthy breakfast and get plenty of sleep. Use probiotics for healthy digestion which will help to keep the harmful bacteria at the bay by stimulating the immune system. At any cost pregnant women should avoid Soy products, caffeine, artificial sweeteners and chlorinated water.
Vitamin D is very essential so make sure to add sunshine for optimal healthy baby, Make sure to expose your body to a healthy sunshine during the early morning sunrise which will help to regulate your body’s Vitamin D levels. Exercise should be an important part of your health routine while you're pregnant, as long as your doctor has not indicated otherwise.
I’m sure you have heard the term “eating for two” For many years, mothers-to- be were told that because they were pregnant, they must eat for two. But this is a very misleading statement. Some women gain far too much weight in the misguided belief that they must provide additional nutrition for their growing child.
Lactating mothers:
Breastmilk is a natural drink for babies and it not only helps the babies but it helps mothers as well. Mothers that are breastfeeding their babies, need something different from other mothers. They should take care of the following points:
1) Include lots of easily digestible vegetables and fruits like spinach and bananas.
2) Include dairy products like milk and yogurt.
3) Include dry fruits like nuts, almonds, cashews.
4) Eat non-veg in moderation.
5) Drink plenty of lukewarm water.
6) Avoid medication without doctors advice.
